THE NEWS
SPARTAN MARKETING BRINGS LEADING WEB DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT IN-HOUSE
As of July 16, 2026, Notion Design Group is part of Spartan Marketing. Joel Eschenbach and Tommy Bradley, who founded and ran Notion for close to twenty years, are now on the Spartan team, and Notion’s client book has moved over with them.
Spartan starts every engagement the same way. We look at how the business makes money, then we prescribe the fewest marketing moves with the biggest effect on revenue. A website shows up on that list most of the time. We used to send that work out. Now we do it ourselves.
Spartan now covers strategy, web design and development, hosting, SEO, paid media, content, email, and automation with one team and one point of accountability.
2006
Notion founded. Nearly two decades of web design and development.
2017
Spartan founded. B2B marketing for manufacturers and service businesses.
1
Team responsible for strategy, build, and monthly execution.
WHAT’S DIFFERENT
WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU
- Web design and development run in-house instead of through outside partners
- Hosting and site maintenance are managed by the developers who build the sites.
- Two decades of web design and development experience added to the team
- Website work and marketing work sit on the same roadmap, scoped together
- Faster turnaround on site changes, and one team answering for the result.

YOUR TEAM STAYED PUT
Tommy and Joel are still your contacts. Your agreement stands, and your hosting, maintenance, and support continue without interruption. What’s new is the marketing team standing behind them if you ever want it.
Spartan clients
YOUR BENCH GOT DEEPER
Design and development are no longer routed to partners. Your site, your campaigns, and your strategy now live with the same team, on the same schedule, under the same account management.
HOW SPARTAN WORKS
STRATEGY FIRST.
EXECUTION SECOND.
01 / PLAN
CLARITY BEFORE SPEND
We audit your marketing, brand, and digital presence, map how your buyers actually decide, and build a 12-month roadmap specific to your business.
02 / BUILD
FIX THE INFRASTRUCTURE
Brand, website, tech stack, funnel. Scoped as one-time projects based on what the audit found, and now delivered entirely by our own team.
03 / RUN
EXECUTE EVERY MONTH
A monthly retainer that manages, creates, and optimizes the channels your roadmap called for, reported against the numbers that matter.
WELCOME TO THE TEAM
Joel Eschenbach
CREATIVE DIRECTOR
Co-founder of Notion Design Group. Joel leads web strategy and design at Spartan and keeps his existing client relationships. He has worked in the StoryBrand framework for close to a decade.
Tommy Bradley
DIRECTOR OF WEB DEVELOPMENT
Co-founder of Notion Design Group. Tommy leads development, hosting, and ongoing site maintenance, with the same hands on these sites that have been on them for years.
FROM THE OWNER
This merger is all about building an even better team. Joel and Tommy are two of the best web people I’ve worked with, and you don’t add that caliber of design and development to a team by posting a job and hoping.
The fit made it easy. Joel has been in the StoryBrand world almost as long as I have, so we were already working from the same playbook before any of this started. Same framework, same questions we ask a business owner, same belief that clarity beats volume. Most partnerships spend years trying to get there. We started there.
Tommy and Joel built something clients stayed with for close to twenty years. That’s something to build on as we move forward together.
